Warranty Policy
READ FIRST
Cycling, particularly off-road riding, is a demanding activity.
To minimise the risk of injury, follow these best practices:
-
Maintain and adjust your bike and products correctly;
-
Always wear an approved helmet;
-
Obey traffic laws and local regulations;
-
Stay alert to hazards.
If riding at night, make sure you can see and be seen. Reflectors do not replace proper front and rear lights. Wearing reflective clothing is strongly recommended (and sometimes required by local law).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Thank you for choosing a PEMBREE product. Our equipment is carefully designed to deliver a high-performance, durable and safe cycling experience. To get the most out of your product, please read the following information.
WARNING
For your safety and the safety of others, immediately replace the handlebar, seatpost and stem in the event of a crash or impact. These components play a key role in your bike's safety and stability: they should never be neglected.
LEGAL WARRANTY
PEMBREE, through its authorised agents and distributors in the country where the product was purchased, warrants its products against non-conformities and hidden defects (1) for a period of two years and (2) from the date of purchase.
(1) Hidden defects apply only under French law. § 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code.
(2) Some countries or states allow longer limitation periods for implied warranties, and/or the exclusion or limitation of direct or consequential damages, which means that the limitation described above may not apply. This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary according to local laws.
Coverage
The PEMBREE warranty applies to products:
Purchased from PEMBREE or an authorised retailer — Products purchased from unauthorised marketplaces or non-authorised retailers are not covered.
Assembled in accordance with instructions — Installation must follow PEMBREE guidelines (torque specifications, mounting direction, compatibility).
Maintained according to our recommendations — Regular maintenance in accordance with our recommendations is required to maintain coverage (details available in our FAQ on the PEMBREE website).
Used under normal conditions — The product must be used in accordance with its intended purpose (gravity, freeride, e-MTB depending on the model).
Important note: To process any warranty claim, customers are required to submit a copy of the original invoice or sales receipt as proof of purchase.
The warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear — Components subject to friction and regular contact naturally wear over time and use. This includes: grips, pedal pins, bearings (excluding premature failure), anodised surfaces (superficial scratches), and seals.
Accidental damage — Damage resulting from impacts, crashes or falls is not a manufacturing defect. For these situations, our PEMBREE+ program offers a Crash Replacement at 50% off during the first year.
Unauthorised modifications or repairs — Any product that has been modified, incorrectly disassembled or repaired with non-approved parts loses its warranty coverage.
Lack of maintenance — Regular maintenance is required to maintain the performance of your components. Failures due to lack of maintenance (seized bearings due to lack of lubrication, preventable corrosion) are not covered.
Improper use — Any use for which the product was not designed — for example, using gravity pedals on a road bike in competition, or fitting components to non-cycling vehicles.
Terms of Application
Under the legal warranty, PEMBREE will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product concerned, in whole or in part.
PEMBREE, its agents and distributors cannot be held liable for:
-
Direct or consequential damages,
-
Shipping costs,
-
Or financial losses related to the use of the product.
PEMBREE cannot be held responsible for damage related to products not designed, manufactured or distributed by PEMBREE.
PRODUCT LIFESPAN – WEAR
The lifespan of PEMBREE components depends on several factors: your riding style, conditions of use and maintenance. Impacts, crashes, improper or aggressive use can affect the structure of components and reduce their lifespan. Some parts are subject to natural wear.
In case of deformation, impact marks, cracks or stress marks, even minor ones, replace the component immediately.
A worn or damaged component can compromise your safety.
EXTENDING YOUR PRODUCT'S LIFE
-
Our products, like any object, have a limited lifespan if not properly maintained.
-
Each part is subject to wear, stress, external conditions and material ageing.
-
Impacts, overloads or repeated stresses can cause invisible damage leading to serious failure.
-
A product that has been crashed or used under extreme conditions should always be inspected by a qualified professional mechanic before riding again.
-
Material fatigue or exceeding a component's useful life can lead to sudden failure.
-
Modern lightweight parts offer excellent performance, but require regular maintenance and inspection.
-
Watch for any cracks, scratches or colour changes.
MAINTENANCE
-
Your authorised PEMBREE retailer is your best partner for maintenance and safety.
-
The more intensive your riding, the more frequent your inspections should be.
-
Refer to your product's user manual for recommended maintenance procedures and intervals.
-
Never ride with a broken or damaged component.
-
Have any damaged part repaired or replaced immediately.
